fudgy (:

so its been a long long while since i last posted..

since then i've finished year 10, been to sydney and back and now - in 5 days i'm off to Kansas City, America on exchange!

i know i havent written about how excited i am about going.. so i'll write it now..

I'm so excited about going!

i'm also excited about christmas! because christmas is the best (: when i was younger christmas was the only time of year i'd ever remember seeing all my family in one place.. so christmas was never really about presents or the amazng food but more about spending time with loved ones..

anyway, christmas reminds me of yummy food and nothing is yummier than choc chip cookies.. so i thought i'd share one of my favourite recipes that i often give out as presents after parties.. they are super delicious and stay nice and fudgy (1. is that even how you spell that? and 2. when did people start using words like 'fudgy' to descrbe nice foods?) for days (:

Choc Chip Cookies

180g of softened butter
1/3 cup of caster sugar
125ml of condensed milk (though i always like to add a little extra for extra 'fudgy'-ness)
1 1/2 cups of self raising flour
and Chocolate chip bits

Method:

1). Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Using an electric mixer beat the butter and sugar together untill light a creamy. Beat in condensed milk. Add in sifted flour and mix on low speed untill smooth. Add Chocolate chips and mix.

2). Roll about 2 teaspoons full of the mixture into balls and place on baking paper lined trays.

3). Bake for 12-15 minutes (though this really depends on taste, my family like their cookies cooked for only 10 minutes)

with this recipe i ususally get 30-36 cookies (:

And finally, If i dont post agan untill christmas which, is probebly likely.. then Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
